This GEM was sitting in a box of electronic junk in the NBC Washington Field Operations equipment bay. To be disposed of sometime in the late 90’s as I recall. Long since discontinued. In the Pre-Cell phone era these were our primary Tech Opns and Editorial field communications devices. Motorola tough and heavy. Real Metal. With custom leather cases that today would cost several hundred dollars. Used widely by Law enforcement and public safety (and Washington DC Media). I can’t remember how long the battery lasted. But it was many hours with the big one. Driving rain storm, summer heat. Never fazed these radios. Sits in my office as an objet d’art. Motorola MX-350
